Paul the owner was very welcoming and provided us with lots of information, maps and brochures of Amsterdam. However we only saw him when we arrived (when he asked for accomodation money to be paid up front) and for brief moment for another day . To be fair he did leave a mobile phone if we needed to contact him.... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our three days here in an immacutely clean and pleasantly furnished first floor apartment with a balcony overlooking gardens. Very quiet considering location in the city. The proximity of the Vondel Park gives a pleasant walk into the centre. Paul gave us an excellent verbal and printed introduction to the apartment and locality. Information about restaurants and other... more

Just back from a great stay at B&B again. Paul and Karen are the nicest couple you could meet, and put their heart and soul into the B&B. Located about 5/10mins from the center of Amsterdam. The rooms are spotless and the small touches - breakfast, fresh flowers, chocolates on the pillow, and the gin and blackcurrant at night is the perfect end... more

I spent 4 days with my wife in this B&B (ground level). The room is clean and not big, as usual in Amsterdam, but enough for living few hours in a day. The temperature in the room was good and wasn't necessary to use the fan. The area is very quite and nice. The breakfast was limited to coffee /... more

We had a little trouble finding this place from the start as the instruction were a little unclear but eventually made our way to the B&B. Our host was very welcoming and helpful and gave us a lot of information including brochures and directions but we were disappointed in the quality of our room. For the money we outlaid, we... more

Bed and Breakfast Amsterdam is one of the best B & Bs I've found. The Canal House suite I stayed in was tasteful, spacious and immaculately clean, and everything I could have needed was provided. The location is ideal, in a quiet area on a lovely canal but well situated for accessing the city centre. Anything one might need (supermarket,... more

My husband and I stayed in the suite at Canal House across the street from Amsterdam Bed & Breakfast which is part of Paul and Karen's establishment Mar 18-Mar22, 2008. The rooms were light, airy, french doors that open up overlooking the canal and very very clean. I got so use to the idea of leaving my shoes outside that... more

My girlfriend and I stayed here for three days of our spring break and thanks largely to Paul and Karen Amsterdam was the highlight of our trip. Our room was great and Paul and Karen were extremely helpful. The maps they provided us were very useful and the recommended restaurants that we tried were great. The blackcurrant gin in the... more

We stayed in Amsterdam four nights. The B&B was cleaned each day and fresh towels supplied, dishes washed, bed made up and chocolates placed on the pillows. Breakfast was light but we knew that when we made the reservations. Several cafes close by. Food store just one block away ('fridge in the room) Third floor suite - 32 steps -... more

After traveling for 20 hours - arriving at Paul and Karen's Tulips B&B was wonderful. They were waiting for us and greeted us warmly. We got all the details we needed including a map, tram info, restaurant suggestions and internet spots. Our room was warm, comfortable and sparkling clean! The neighborhood is quiet but not boring and it's just the... more
