We were sent there by St. Christopher's at the Winston. The hostel is more hotel-like, very big and brand new. We had a private room for a reasonable price (32 euros per person). Very clean, great bathroom, nicedecoration, very kind and helpful staff but a little far away from the centre (10-15' by bus or taxi) but there's a night... more

Good points: The stayokay is massive and obviously caters for very big groups. It has large shared rooms with comfy beds and there is a light above each bed. Breakfast is included and there is a huge selection. Most importantly it's clean. Not so good points: While there are lockers they are located on the ground floor which is really... more

I've stayed in the Stayokay Zeeburg for 5 nights in August 2008. The Hostel is located a little bit outside of the centrum, but it is easy to reach by tram No. 14. It takes you about 10-15 minutes to the city center. I've asked the reception, if there is somewhere a supermarket in the surrounding. The woman at the... more

I went on a tour with efcollegebreak and they booked this place for us. I really loved this place and Amsterdam. The staff was really friendly to me. They all spoke English which was great. They have internet but it is a bit expensive. The guy at the front desk told me not to tell the other guests but told... more

I only have one thing to say and that is BEDBUGS!! Ugly, horrible, nasty little bedbugs. Luckily, I always check my mattress and the actual bed before I sleep and I was able to spot the little things right off the bat. My friend who had stayed the previous night was not so lucky and awoke to horrible little red... more

Hallo! I stayed in this hostel at the begining of february 2008. In one of the last nights, the night guard came in to the room and stoled one photo camera (canon 300d), an tripod foto camera, one baterry grip and some other few things. In total, the Stayokay Zeeburg night guard stoled aprox 700 Euro in objects. obvious, I... more

I stayed here in Oct '07. I think it had just opened and there was still a lot of work being done on the place - staff not really ready. They were hiring out the dining/bar area for some sort of exhibition - which led to a clash of dressed up people at the bar and some backpackers in pyjamas... more

This hostel is not cheap and is not great. Although it is modern and clean it is a fair way out of town and situated in a slightly dodgey neighborhood. It seems more like a hospital than a hostel.. No character. The rooms are nice and usually with bathrooms. If you stay here be prepared for a journey to get... more

The worst Hotel I have ever stayed in my life. Very good facilitires but lousy management. We had to change room 2 times during a one week stay. Everytime we changed room there was a problem: the room was not clean, one time they gave us a room that was a warehouse and the keys didn’t work. One night they... more

This is a huge hostel like 15 minutes away from the town centre by tram or bike, where I spent four nights in July 2007. First, when I booked I saw they said on their website they had Internet, laundry and covered bike shed, but when I arrived I saw they had no Internet, no laundry and the bike shed... more
