This is as great location to stay at when doing business in the EU district. Great prices during political low season and easy access to Schuman metro stop. Rooms are modern and air conditioned, front desk staff also very helpful and efficient. more

This hotel is nice and the area is ok. However when we were there they had a holiday shut down. This meant that some restaurants and bars were closed and the others didn't serve food. Though we found a very nice pizzeria that was open. You can walk from this hotel to the city in about 20 minutes. The hotel is... more

We booked this hotel because the hotel advertises on Booking.com with "Free Private parking is possible on site". A few days before arrival, I called the hotel to confirm this. However, on arrival the parking appeared to be very small and full for our first night. When I told the receptionist that the Booking website makes notice of free parking... more

I booked the new Charlemagne when my usual hotel was full. It's unpretentious, smaller than the big chains, but absolutely fine and I'd stay there again. Small bar area seemed cosy though I didn't use it. Room was fine but unpretentious - clean and comfortable with everything necessary. Not where you'd choose for a romantic break, but fine for business... more

I stayed in this hotel for two nights on business. It's located very close to the European Parliament building and therefore is about a 15 minute walk from the centre of Brussels (I can vouch for that!) The hotel has been recently refurbished and the standard of my room was excellent. Very modern. WiFi internet access is available via credit... more

The hotel is renewing some of the rooms and if you are lucky to get one of those, they look pretty good from the pictures. We got however a very old apartment, yet very clean. We paid only 55 euros for a double room per night without breakfast and therefore the price for what we got was really good! The... more

I stayed there for one night in April for a business trip. The hotel is located near the European institutions and there are places to eat around, such as on Rue Archimedes. This hotel was pretty cheap when booked on the Eurostar website with the train, but it is not a 4 star hotel by any means. The decor was... more

Very close to Berlaymont palace and other european institutions, my room was large and with new furniture (but smells of mildew) , good breakfast. Nice staff. Everything is ok, especially if you need to be close to UE. But I payed € 199 for a single room b&b (march 28-29), and it is quite expensive. more

Upon arrival at the New Hotel Charlemagne we were stood behind another couple waiting to check in. They had booked a room for 3 people but only one breakfast would be provided. The receptionist blamed this on expedia and for the guests not reserving the correct number online. We had the exact same talk with her when we came to... more

I stayed here for New Years Eve - got a great deal with lastminute.com. Friends were staying near Grand Place, I was arriving a day later. Was very easy to get to the centre of Brussels to meet them - the Schuman metro is literally 5 minutes walk. Come out of hotel, past EU building and down the escalators into... more
