Outstanding hotel. The rooms are large and beautiful. The concierge service is very helpful. Try to get breakfast as part of your package, so you can look at the Acropolis as you sip your coffee. The rooftop restaurant has excellent food for dinner also. more

I stayed here for work so can’t talk about the price of the room, though I did see that the breakfast was 50+ Euros. I had dinner at the rooftop restaurant; it seemed obligatory after reading reviews here. The view of the Acropolis is breathtaking, a rare moment of beauty. I hated staying at the Grand Bretagne. No free internet. Instead you have to pay 5E for 1 hour (or 20 E for 24 hours). And it doesn't say anywhere that the hour is from when you start. I adored this hotel. The room was just delightful; an extremely comfortable bed and a fabulous shower with an enormous rose that gives so much beautiful hot water I could have drowned ! The service was brilliant and they managed to wash and press and return a business shirt within a couple of hours. more
