We were assigned a "family room" which consisted of four twin sized beds with less than three inches between them. The room looked more like a barracks than an adequate hotel. The room seemed subterranean, maybe it was partially underground , it was hard to tell from the view. The window looked out at a littered courtyard, and on all... more

The location of Athens Cypria can't be beat! A 5 minute walk from Syntagma Square and the metro with restaurants and stores everywhere. Very safe area too. There was a breakfast buffet had eggs, potatoes, cereal, juice, and more included in the ~100 Euro/night price. I stayed twice, first when I arrived in Athens, then when I left. I was... more

If you're looking for a fancy/upmarket hotel this one is a no-no. But if you're looking for a clean hotel; in a good price range and in an Excellent LOCATION then Athens Cypria is a great choice! We had a great stay and would definately recommend this hotel to our family and friends. Thank you Paula at Fantasy Travel (in... more

I recenlty stayed at Hotel Cypria for 3 nights. Staff spoke good English but weren't very friendly. A bit of problem with check-in. Booked a single room with a view through www.HRS.de in 3 weeks advance but the receptionists could not locate the reservation on my arrival. The staff blamed the HRS for the error. All the rooms with a... more

First time to Athens and Fantasy Travel's Eleni was terrific in setting up my reservation! I had room 334 in the newer building, which was huge and had a large American style bath. No view, but was out doing the town evenings anyway. Looking at the floor plan in the room, this was the biggest one on the floor. May... more

We had a superior room in Athens Cypria for two differrent periods during our honeymoon in Greece. Both time they welcomed us with champagne in our bedroom - a very nice touch. The hotel itself is simple but in a VERY handy location - close to Syntagma Square, Psiri, Acropolis, Plaka... Cafes, restaurantes, churches, stores, archeological sites. The room was... more

This hotel is a fantastic place to stay if you don't need/want a ton of "character" and "local culture" in your lodging. It is spacious, clean, well run, has a great breakfast buffet (including English breakfast features like baked beans, bacon, etc.), is quiet, has reasonable internet connectivity, and has easy access to public transit while being tucked off of... more

We stayed in Cypria early May 2008 for 3 nights. The hotel met all our expectations and some more. Our original criteria of choosing Cypria among the many budget hotels were confirmed after our arrival. 1. Location is a few small blocks from Syntagma Sq, which is the gateway to all the rest of Athens. Walking with our luggages from... more

My wife and I stayed at the Athens Cypria three different times (always in different rooms) for several nights each time during our trip to Greece. Our stays were consistently pleasant and trouble-free. The breakfast at the Cypria was very good: diverse, and of a fairly high quality - indeed, amongst the best we had in Greece. The rooms, though... more

We (a group of 7) stayed for 3 nights at the end of May. We had a triple and a quad room. It worked really well for our families. It is hard to find more than a double room in Greece. The breakfasts were great, even the teenagers found something that they liked! The location is excellent. We took the... more
