I originally booked Stalis Hotel which was apparently the sister hotel of Parnon. After a rip of taxi ride EUR 20 from Syntagma to Omonia area, we got to Stalis, and the receptionist said they were full despite my booking done months ago. He was quite helpful though redirected us to Parnon which was apparently more expensive place nearby and... more

We stayed here for a couple of days for sight seeing in Athens. For a hotel in Omonoia square it is quite cheap but does not offer anything above the price. Rooms are cramped, you can hardly move, plenty of noise from within and outside. Avoid the breakfast, served by disgruntled waitresses, not worth even half the price they charge.... more

We are a mature couple from New Zealand who travel throughout Europe each year enroute to and returning from a business conference. We generally book two to three star accommodation as it gets us close to the locals and releases funds for other activities or purchases. We selected the Parnon via the internet and are happy with the choice we... more

Two middle aged ladies, stayed at Hotel Parnon for 2 nights during heatwave in June. Hotel fine for the price (cheap) but the area outside, around Omonia Square is decidely dodgy with some very busy ladies in evidence! Not for the prudish! more

Hotels in Athens can be expensive so 50 euros for a double in the Parnon seems good value. It is in no way luxury, but sheets and bathroom were clean and water was hot. There is a balcony where you can observe the street life below - as others have said the area has a lot of prostitutes. Bakery across... more

I just returned from a 5-day trip to Athens which included 3 nights at the Parnon. Overall, I was really happy with my experience there. I travelled to Athens on business, and so my company put me up for the first night of my visit at the King George Palace, which was obviously great. After finishing my meetings I decided... more

We stayed there for one week during Champions League so the "suite" was highly overpriced. 160 Euro a night. The suite was less than other rooms we 've stayed in. No balcony for the "suite" The room was kept very clean. The breakfast was more like a sugar shock, and smiles were scarce. Prostitutes in front of hotel all day.... more

Stayed at Hotel Parnon in May, 2007 for 2 nights. A very average hotel, nothing much to remember or write about. Old looking room (clean though) with a decent bathroom. Easy connectivity as it is very close to the Omnia station, a 2-minute walk. Have quite a few eating options in the vicinity. But the area around the hotel was... more

This hotel at 48 Euros per night for a single room was great value for money. Especially compared to the standard of hotels that you get around the Omonia Sqaure area. Nice room, balcony, 24 hr cheap bar, 5 minute walk from fruit and meat market, 20 mins walk to main sites, 5 munite walk to underground. It is situated... more

My spouse and I stayed here for 2 days. We had previously stayed at the Filoxenia (do not stay there, no value for money at 50 euros per night per room) in Athens on our previous visit. Wished we had found Parnon first! For 60 euros per night per room, this was a great find - located 1 minute walk... more
