Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Scandic Sydhavnen and would recommend it for travellers wanting to stay slightly out of town.A couple of train stops from the centre (or a half hour walk) the Scandic Sydhavnen has bright clean rooms,an excellent free buffet breakfast and free internet both in the bedrooms and bar area. Also the small business... more

Best features of this hotel were the price, the complimentary breakfast, and the FREE internet stations/access. We booked a 2-person room through hotels.com and for some reason when we checked in the reservation was made for a 1-person room. Not the hotel's fault but it dealt with it well. Also, the hotel stored our luggage for us (in a communal... more

A very disappointing and over priced Hotel. Location most definitely not as described in their literature and in a very poor area. House keeping very sketchy and problems reported not resolved. Ian Cobban Sevenoaks Kent more

This is a nice enough hotel. The pluses: free parking, free internet, the rooms are spacious although somewhat noisy The minuses: Restaurant has a limited choice of food you'll get quickly tired of, and poor quality Breakfast is good, but repeatedly found poor service, dirty plates Service is not great Location is far away from the centre more

We stayed here for 3 nights in early October 2006. The hotel is typically Scandinavian with an emphasis on wood and space in common areas, but the standard bedrooms are on the small side, pleasant and adequate rather than special. Free internet access was available in-room (you need to get a free password from reception and bring your own laptop).... more

The night I stayed at this hotel in October 06 the kitchen was refusing to serve any food to residents as they were dealing with a "function". No idea what that was but it meant restaurant closed, no bar food and no room service which is pretty bad when you arrive in the evening looking for dinner at a hotel... more

If you are deciding on a hotel in Copenhagen, you may want to consider the Scandic Sydhavnen as an option. Not your typical hotel, this eco-friendly hotel has IKEA style rooms, free high-speed wireless internet connections and a great free breakfast buffet. Rooms are clean, have hardwood floors instead of carpet, trash cans designed for recycling, and a very comfortable... more

My husband and I stayed at the Scandic Sydhavnen over Easter weekend and found it to be fine. I had a special price of just over $100 USD including breakfast (which was the one of the best buffets I have had in Europe). The location is good - just a few minutes from Copenhagen Centrum. If you are driving in,... more

The Scandic Sydhavnen would have to rate as one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. It is definitely the Faulty Towers on the Scandinavian region (without the laughs). We booked a double bed room several weeks before leaving Australia yet it seemed like a big surprise to the staff that we actually meant it ~ yes there... more
