We stayed in the Hotel Diplomat for two nights in mid-May 2008, based on the recommendations set forth from these reviews. Be aware that the hotel is currently largely covered with outside scaffolding (our hotel room window looked directly out on multiple platforms, tools, etc). This was a great location, great hotel and had excellent service. We'd recommend this in a second and stay here again. The staff was very helpful in any aspect (transportation, restaurant recommendations, spa services, etc). Breakfast and dinner were superb at this hotel. I like to stay in "Nice Hotels". This is a nice hotel. The rooms here huge and clean, with internet on the TV and a limited range of movies on demand.
