Where do i start? On arrival I was met by the extremely unfriendly landlady who tried to insist on taking cash (only) before showing me the room. She also refused to find space to park my motorcycle (although her husband eventually relented) because I hadn't pre-booked my £10 parking on top of the £45/night I had already paid for a... more
there was one woman whom was bar person, room cleaner and waitress, me and my partner were the only guests apart from three really inconsiderate grown up men next door to us, they brought local woman back and constantly banged on our wall( not having ***) but was just being stupid, this went on from 3 o'clock till well after... more
A very disapointing introduction to North Wales. a poorly presented hotel which was run with the atitude of "keep guests out". Tap water at the table was not allowed, and £1.50 for a quarter pint on soda water (not bottled) was too excesive for me. The over priced bar had prices that changed depending on who was serving - more... more
The hotel is now under new managenent! we now have ezeeway health studio in the basement (toning tables) & have done a lot of renavations in the hotel which is ongoing.
This hotel has to be the worst I have ever had the misfortune of staying in. Our room had a shabby carpet which emitted an unpleasant smell, broken drawers which were held up with a chair, a shower which you had to run around in to get wet (thats if you could get any hot water out of it), an... more
I, along with thirty or so other ladies had the misfortune in staying at this hotel last weekend. (which we nick named "Bleak House"). Although we did not let it spoil our break, I did feel the need to report some safety aspects to the Conwy County Borough Council, who in turn are requesting the Fire Safety Officer and Trading... more
We had to laugh or we would have cried!! Having pre-booked and paid for a 6 night holiday, we had to make the best of things. Our gloomy room had a circa 1960's bed and mattress, wardrobes with missing doors and no less than 7 clashing patterns. The tea making facilities were very stingy. Toiletries provided consisted of two very... more
Penny-pinching hotel which takes advantage of transient trade by selling laughably poor food at inflated prices. Order a 'cup of tea' and you get a cup of hot water. In the saucer is a tea bag which you have to put in yourself. The 'Ploughman's Lunch' consisted of HALF a pre-buttered bread roll, a lump of cheese and a tiny... more
This hotel although in a superb position could do with some serious updating. The bedroom furniture looks as if it has come direct from a junk shop. The tea and coffee making facilities are a joke, with only 2 tea bags & 2 coffee sachets for 2 people to share, maybe they want guests to buy tea in the public... more
