great hotel for business traveller. comfortable bar, and 'ok' restaurant. Staff reasonably pleasent. Rooms are worn, but have nice touches, like a complimentary small bottle of sherry and choclates. bed very comfortable. Had wedding at Pennine Manor but received no guidance throughout!! Only contact was made by us which is a bit worrying when you trying to sort your wedding. Venue its self was nice (although the honeymoon suit was a bog standard double room) but the staff were very rude and abrupt to myself, my hubby and guests throughout the day.... more

My Fiance and I have stayed at the hotel on many occasions. We only live in Huddersfield but find the hotel a beautiful, quiet retreat. Nothing wrong with the rooms here, been going for a few years now, but am considerning other options as the prices for drinks in the bar are now totally unacceptable. Really welcoming cosey hotel, felt right at home, expensive to drink in bar but excellent food! recommended! There are plenty of places around to get a bite to eat or a drink or two. Very nice surroundings. Nice staff and reasonable prices apart from the bar, well worth a visit. more
