With some trepidation, after reading reviews on Tripadvisor, we booked a double room for one night as we had an early Tunnel booking. The hotel was easy to find, there was plenty of parking; reception was friendly and efficient. The public areas (corridors) were messy but we later attributed this to the large amount of unsupervised children who seemed to... more

Stayed here on both outward and return journies to France. Outward stay wasn't too bad, decent room (if not a little too much like a sauna, definitely some heating problems) and decent breakfast arrangements. It was the return journey that sticks in the mind though! Room dirty in parts and grotty stains on the bed-settee cover (can't cost too much... more

Booked a family room prior to using the Eurostar hoping for a good nights sleep prior to a long drive. Worst decision ever, we should have stayed at home and left at silly o clock, would have got more sleep !! The bed felt like a waterbed it so so soft, yet it groaned and squeaked with every slight movement.... more

I booked this because of its location to the tunnel and price. Then read the reviews which got me abit worried. The Hotel is in a excellent location and has the added benifit of being next to restaurants. We went to Franky and benny's. Avoid this restaurant its filthy and the food is disgusting, nothing like our local. The hotel... more

Having read previous reviews I was worried what I would find at this Travelodge, but was pleasantly surprised. We arrived about 5.00pm having booked 3 rooms at the great price of £29 per room, and reception had problems finding 3 rooms together which had been cleaned. I gather they had a cleaning staff shortage. The very friendly reception staff found... more

Basic accommodation, but for the price it was ok. Having read previous reviews we were expecting the worst, but were pleasantly surprised. We did however take our own sheets, and pillowcases, and felt the need to wipe around the bathroom with cleansing wipes before we used it. The floor was ok (but could have done with perhaps a more thorough... more

We were due to stay at this hotel for 2 nights, but cancelled the 2nd night within 1 hour of checking in. The bed looked unmade , although the sheets were clean - the cover had been chucked on the duvet & was only half in. The skirting boards and corners of the rooms were filthy. The general appearance was... more

Travelodge is a basic chain of chep and cheerful hotels. I have no problem with this fact and find their use very advantageous in various parts of the country. However this Travelodge in Ashford needs a visit from a fumugation company or better still levelling and starting again. To be fair the reception staff were great and pleasant. Our stay... more
