My daughters and l went to Belfast for a girls shopping weekend . We checked in on Saturday evening. The hotel is amazingly impressive from the outside and this continues to strike you as you move through the hotel. All members of staff were very friendly and polite (whenever you passed staff they acknowledged you) from check in to departure.... more
I stayed at the Culloden as part of a business trip and can really recommend this hotel. Staff were professional and efficient, while the hotel itself is very comfortable. The bedroom was large and very comfortable, with a good supply of toiletries, which is important when travelling with hand-luggage only. The food is excellent and tasted very fresh. There is... more
i stayed here for 2nd year running 1st of march. Was told i would get "special discounted rate" of 175 pounds per night. I was staying overnight at a function. I enquired about a babysitter, they put us in touch with their babysitters "safehands" who charged 11.88 per hour!!!!. So for my 175 discounted rate heres what i got; standard... more
I had a reservation at the Europa in Belfast (part of the same group), due to a mix-up, the Europa couldn't accomodate me - I shall not be too harsh about them as they provided me with a taxi and sent me to the Culloden. Had the Culloden not been SO GOOD, I might have remained grumpy & cheesed-off about... more
We stayed at the Culloden for 4 nights in October and found it very disappointing. We paid full price for our room (no special rates or Priceline discounts) and had a view of an alleyway filled with heating ducts. The walls were thin as paper and we had to listen to the noisy neighbors well into the night. Breakfast is... more
what a place! stayed here in august 2 nights for a wedding which was on the 2nd night in the hotel. located about 15 mins drive from the centre of belfast. set on beautiful grounds and having great views, this place is paradise. the hotel building itself was an old monastery. the lobby and lounge area is fab and very... more
This was our second stay at this hotel and it did not dissapoint .From arrival to leaving it was exellent , each of the hotel departments were effecient , curteous and always service with a smile . The hotel logo states built for a bishop fit for a king ,is very apt , as ordinary punters saving for this weekend... more
I live in Belfast and decided to stay at the Culloden to use up some gift vouchers - trust me I'd rather not have had Hastings vouchers as they're limited to hotels in Northern Ireland and the hotels are too close to home. Anyhoo...Arrival was fine but i was disappointed to find myself being located in the bowels of the... more
Belfast must be one of the most popular weekend breaks, as having found it impossible to book my usual hotel, I paid premium price to stay at the Culloden. As your previous reviewers have stated, it is a very good 4 star, not a 5 star as you might have expected, but it does have the pool, gym and spa.... more
