Just got back from the Cygnet after a short break,(2 days). Loved the warm atmosphere , friendly staff. Room was clean and tidy but bathroom a bit small but we managed ok. We spent Christmas 2007 at this hotel The only good thing about it was the food. New inexperienced management from April 2007 and it shows, could be described as 'Fawlty Towers' badly in need of refurbishment. Don't go there! more

We stayed here for 7 nights from 11th Aug. The staff here were friendly and helpful. The entertainment every night was good and varied. The bar prices were very reasonable for a hotel. The food was great and the choices were good. We were just let down slightly by the room but weren't in it very long. more
