We were a party of three generations with 15 people, the youngest being 9, who spent a very enjoyable week at Trefeddian. It caters well for young and old and in between; there were high chairs and wheelchairs around. The rooms are pleasant, and there were plenty of places to sit (three lounges, the bar and a terrace on the... more

The setting of this hotel at the edge of Snowdonia and on the shores of the Irish Sea is absolutely fabulous. Make sure you get a room facing the sea. The food is also very good at breakfast and dinner which are included in the price of the stay. In the room we got (on the first floor) the bathroom... more

Another excellent stay at this hotel. Myself and my husband went on our own for our anniversary having previously been a couple of times with our small children. As always the food was fantastic and we had a lovely room overlooking the gardens, golf course and sea. Staff as always were friendly. Although quite expensive it's worth the money just... more

After weeks of rain and floods my wife and I travelled a lengthy journey to Aberdovey - where right on cue the sun shone. The hotel, set less than a mile from the small town overlooks golf links and beaches. It is an uplifting setting. Seeking a short break - four days - we could not have been more fortunate... more

'The Tref' is a real family hotel. It offers a warm welcome to all generations. My grandparents enjoyed many holidays here, my parents have been going for years & since we had children my husband & I have enjoyed an annual long weekend. For the more mature guests there is disabled access to many rooms & quiet lounges. For children... more

In March we went to the Trefeddian for our third visit in three years. Our previous visits have been either in June or August so a visit in middle March was taking a chance on the weather. In fact for most of our stay the weather was warm and sunny and we ate outside one lunchtime overlooking the sea at... more

We stayed at the Trefeddian Hotel in August 2006 with our grandson. Aberdovey has everything to suit a family holiday. The surrounding countryside is well worth exploring - we visited ruined castles, climbed mountains, visited the beautiful Cregennan Lakes. Walked for miles along the spectacular beach, visited the museum for alternative technology. The hotel is well run, the choice of... more

We visit this hotel regularly and love it. The location is great, and the views are breathtaking. This hotel is especially good if you are a golfer, however it has lots to offer for everyone else as well. The meals are out of this world, the menu changes every night so there is always lots to chose from. Some parts... more

Five of us stayed at the Trefeddian Hotel on a special breaks package. This was for two nights with Dinner & breakfast included as was the Sunday lunch. Dinner was a 5 course affair on both nights, and the breakfasts are huge with an incredible choice of menus. We have also booked for another 2 night stay at the end... more

Stayed last in July 2004, having been a visitor on several ocassions with parents in the past. Hotel has had money spent on it and is a good class. Top floor rooms newest and best and do not bother with hill view. One sheep looks like another. Food very good and staff excellent. Too expensive though. We have an adult... more
