We stayed in the hotel the night before our cruise and it was a great hotel. It was spotlessly clean and the staff were brilliant nothing was too much for them. Also we organised with the hotel for them to pick us up from the aiport and they were in the arrivals hall waiting for us and the transfer went... more

We were on a Carnival Cruise and spent the night before we sailed at the Hotel Traiano. The hotel was excellent. We had a suite and we still only paid 145 euro for the night. The room was spotless and very comfortable. They provided a car from the Rome Airport to the hotel and a very reasonable rate as well... more

We booked this Hotel on the strength of the reviews on this site. As ever, we were not disappointed. Our need was for a one night stay prior to our cruise. We originally booked the Hotel's own transfer from the airport but subsequently met up with some other folk on our cruise and agreed to share a transfer. This meant... more

We booked a room for the night before our cruise, and at the time there were very few reviews about this hotel. I was quite worried that we would find ourselves with a less than suitable hotel, but this place was great. Having been married less than 24 hours, we took a flight from NY to Dublin to Rome, arriving... more

From our first phone call to Hotel Traiano to our departure, this was an extremely positive experience. The two gentlemen who own/run this hotel as well as the entire staff go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. We felt like royalty. We stayed here for two nights following a long cruise. It was the perfect choice for... more

We stayed one Sunday night just before a cruise that departed on a Monday. We got into the Rome airport fairly early Sunday morning and were promptly picked up by the hotel shuttle, driven by Hotel Traiano co-owner Alexssandro. Unfortunately, that meant our one free day pre- cruise in Italy was a Sunday and there is not much open in... more

We arrived in Civitavecchia in the morning, about 30 hours before we were scheduled to leave on a 10-day Mediterranean cruise. As the cab pulled up to the hotel on the narrow street, we could tell it was going to be a good location, just a few blocks from a main thoroughfare with the potential of great eating. When we... more

Based on the reviews in Trip Adviser, we booked a suite at the Hotel Traiano for a pre cruise one night stay. Pick up from the airport was seamless and as there was another couple that joined us they split the bill evenly between all of us. Had a two bedroom suite which was huge, functional and clean. The restaurant... more

We stayed at Hotel Triano during three nights prior to our scheduled cruise. We were assigned a suite on the first floor which was ample, had two balconies, and was, simply, impecable. The hotel is located on a quiet street, very close to a bar and a pizzeria where you can either have snacks with drinks at night or simply,... more

The night before boarding a cruise ship we stayed in Civitavecchia (Rome's port city) at the Hotel Troiano. Its modest cost led us to expect very little, but we were quite pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome, the generous suite we were assigned, and the genuine hospitality. The restaurant was closed at dinner time, but they ordered pizza out for... more
