I had a perfect stay at Hotel Le Brittany. Very nice room: cosy, silent and newly renovated. Superb dining and breakfast hall with view on the sea or stone rocks on low tide. Perfect service and delicious dinner and breakfast. more

Hotel de France in Roscoff. Stayed one night after evening arrival by ferry from the UK before heading in to Normandy. Price very reasonable, staff friendly even though our French was basic. Room clean and comfortable. Nice atmosphere, nice gardens. Free parking outside the hotel and at the back. Breakfast relaxed and enjoyable. Would definately return. more

I booked a family room with a sea view for my wife and 2 children and when we arrived the sea view was through a tiny window that we couldn't open. We stayed here for three nights and although the pool and rooms were lovely, we did not enjoy breakfast and were made to feel very uncomfortable in the silent dining room. The staff went out of their way to be unhelpful. One evening we went into the bar for two coffee and brandys and were charged £25! more

Stayed there for two nights May 2004. Rooms are very modern. Housekeeping was worst I've seen in France: hair was on bathroom floor. When I go to France, I prefer a place with more charm. more
