I stayed one night at this hotel last week. I chose it because my Switzerland guide book stated that there were 4 hotels in Gruyeres and this was the best. While this may be true, I thought the hotel was just okay, rooms were small and dark, and bed was not very comfortable. The price paid was not worth it.... more

We stayed for 5 nights last month. The setting is fantastic and Gruyeres is a picture postcard town. The hotel is now only a B&B establishment and needs a refurbishment. However, it is still charming with very pleasant staff and a substantial buffet breakfast. Having one of the few rooms with a balcony made all the difference. It was lovely... more
