My wife and I stayed at Riverville House 1 night. Margaret, the owner, made us feel welcome. She helped guide us there via phone (we had a hard time finding it) and had tea and snacks for us. She provided suggestions for dinner and places to see in Kenmare. Our room was an attic conversion; the room was clean and... more

Stayed here for two nights. The place is beautiful. The nicest place we stayed in Ireland for 70 euros. Great location about 5 min walk from town center. Owner was great, offering suggestions about where to see. more

We stayed at Riverville House in Kenmare for 3 nights. The location is great, just a short walk to the town center. The view from our room was spectacular. We were originally given a room at the back of the house, but the other couple asked if we would switch rooms with them. We wound up with a great view.... more

We travelled throughout Ireland for two weeks in September and The Riverville House was one of our favourites, Margaret is a wonderful hostess and offered us tea and biscuits after our long day of travel and gave us excellent advice. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. The rooms were immaculate and the bed very comfortable--a queensize, not a double.... more

Location: In proximity to Kenmare (walking distance) and the Ring of Kerry, you would be hard up to beat this location with private parking without the tourist-fest that is Killarney. Hospitality: Margaret is our all-time favorite B&B host (so much so we have visited twice). Hot breakfast each morning and a huge help in getting around, finding good restaurants, and... more

nice welcoming people who were always willing to help out. However very narrow bathrooms with faulty pluming. No tv and tea/coffe making facilities in the bedroom. Also way too much pine in the house. Brekfast nice more

We stayed at Riverville House in August 07, just returned. On arrival we were shown to a guest sitting room with books, beautiful view and a tv. We had tea and biscuits from Margaret who looked after us wonderfully. We are a family of 4 and had a family room with really comfortable beds, 1 double and 2 singles. The... more

When we arrived in Kenmare, Margaret was not at the B&B, however she had left a note for us on the door, letting us know that she would be back soon and to check out the market in the centre of town. I really appreciated the note as we knew we where expected! The house is gorgeous! and the room... more

Stayed here in June 2007. Margaret is a lovely hostess. The room we stayed in was quite spacious. I did not hear noises from other rooms as another traveler had noted. The food was excellent. Perhaps the nicest thing about this B&B is its location -- away from the town proper and very quiet but an easy and pleasant 5... more

Margaret is the perfect host and her impeccable taste is reflected in the decor and food. She greeted us with lovely tea and biscuits and provided the best breakfast of any of the four B&Bs in which we stayed during our 10-day Ireland holiday. It's impossible to please everyone and there is bound to be a certain amount of backlash... more
