We had a weekend stay here recently and we had the set dinner. We had 3 courses x 7 people and the only plates which were remotely acceptable were 2 vegetable soups. I sent all 3 courses back virtually untouched and nobody bothered to ask why. more

Visit the Ostan Synge Hotel in Geesala for the best restaurant in the area. Geesala is a tiny village which retains it's quiet charm. Stayed here with two large groups. Since we were the leaders of the group we knew the hotel and the location. It is a wonderful place in County Mayo. Quiet, calm and relaxing. The staff were extremely kind to our group. Even if you haed out to the hotel for a dinner or evening meal it is worth the trip... more
