I was with trepidation that I made my way to Parknasilla after reading recent reviews here. Thankfully I wasn't swayed and went away for a child free weekend with my husband. We had not been to the hotel for over 7 years and it has changed hands in the meantime. We found the staff friendly and helpful at all times.... more

We have just returned from 3 nights stay in Parknasilla and couldn't wait to leave. We were so looking forward to our stay and were so dissapointed. When we arrived to check in we were ignored by the reception staff for about ten minutes. we were finally checked in by a very grumpy receptionist who gave us no information on the... more

My girlfriend and I had been looking forward to staying in Parknasilla for some time and after the major restoration work had been completed earlier this year we thought it the perfect time to stay so we booked for two nights over the long weekend. Our first impression was very good with lovely grounds and the main house looking fantastic,... more

My partner booked a two night mid week stay with the hotel as a birthday present for me. We were greeted pleasantly and shown to the room. It was small and poky. The hotel has just been re-opened after renovation works. We saw no evidence of this in the room we got, room 301. The furniture was dated. the television... more

I don't know where to start because there were so many things which didn't meet our expectations - to say we were underwhelmed by the service we received is a complete understatement. There were four of us, myself, my husband and our daughters, 3 years old and 7 months old. We booked a 3-bed villa in the grounds of Parknasilla... more

Lovely, relax, charm and the best food ever. My friends and I stayed in one of the apartments. They are 5 min away from the main building, which give you the experience of been In you own house but with the 5* felling. The spa has an amazing views of the bay. Very big grounds, they even organize walks in... more

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights from 12th July. Booked through www.goireland.com and got a very reasonable rate. The hotel is about 2 miles from the village of Sneem. Its claim to fame is that the former Irish PM, Bertie Ahern is a frequent guest and it is not hard to see why. The hotel is on the coast... more

We have just returned from a three night stay in the Parknasilla Hotel in Sneem. I had visited the hotel briefly many years ago as a child whilst on a family holiday in the Kerry area and had always wanted to stay there. I wasn't disappointed. The hotel has been recently refurbished but thankfully has retained its old world charm.... more

Just back from our honeymoon at the newly re-opened and refurbished Parknasilla Hotel. What can we say about this magical and unforgettable hotel?? Of course, the facilities and accomodation are top notch but this hotel is about so much more than just first-class rooms, restaurants and service. Our room was a suite which was a particularly special way to experience... more
