We stayed here to play golf at Fota Island golf course. Cobh is a cute but very small town, and out of the way for the main tourist attractions. We had a nice (quick) tour of the town and visited the Fota Island gardens. In addition, the golf course is nice. But there are very limited venues for dinner in... more

Room 16 has a window about 10 metres from a bar/disco which is a source of considerable noise; the "music", the "singing" of nightclubbers and arguments about whether to have another drink or not !. The racket went on until after 2.30am. It was made clear to their night door-man at 2.15am that I was very angry, but he claimed... more

Poor hotel, rooms are small and dull. They actually charge 3 Euro for 20 mins wi-fi access (yes 3 euro for 20 mins) which is beyond ridiculous. I travel all over Ireland for Work and this was one of the most dissapointing hotels to-date. Bar is small and the beer is failry poor, parking is tight and limited to say... more

This Hotel is just excellent. Limited amount of parking space is the only minus. Good receptionist and good staff generally. The real treat is the Jacobs Ladder restaurant. Good food and good service. Would recommend this hotel for anyone. more

We had a group of 13 stay at the hotel in May for 1 night. Overall the hotel was OK but watch out they do automatically charge your credit card in US Dollars. This doesn't give you the best exchange rate. I asked them to void the charge and redo it but they wouldn't. more

We arrived at the Water's Edge on April 20, sleep-deprived, jet-lagged, stressed-out, and cranky American tourists (my husband had just driven on the other side of the road for the first time - for 3 hours). We got there at around 10 of 10 in the morning, and they couldn't have been nicer - breakfast ended at 10am, but they... more

Our one night stay was to short. A delightful old hotel, neat, clean and smart. The view of the harbour from our window was excellent. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the restaurant - Jacobs Ladder. more

Want to experience the real Ireland, without kitschy gift shops and bad refrigerator magnets? After kissing the Blarney Stone at the castle 25 miles northwest, why not skip Cork and go to Cobh (pronounced "Cove"), the deepest natural water port in Ireland and the last stop for the Titanic. Steep, cobblestoned streets a la San Francisco - great water views... more

I am surprised to read a bad review about this hotel. I am a business woman and travel a lot for my company throughout the world. I have stayed at the WatersEdge Hotel a couple of times already when I am working in the area and have always been impressed with the food, rooms, service, staff, absolutly everything. It is... more
