Cannot recommend this B&B enough. So clean and the rooms were very comfortable. Dierdre was charming and so helpful. Great and easy to find location, in between Bunratty and Ennis. Only about 10 minutes from Shannon Airport. Would stay there anytime I was in the area. more

This is a wonderful B&B located very close to Bunratty (great location to see the castle and close to Shannon Airport). It was the first B&B that my wife and I stayed in and we absolutely enjoyed it. The innkeeper (Deirdre) was very helpful in giving us directions to Bunratty and made a nice suggestion for us to eat at... more

We spent one night at Avarest, but would happily have spent more had time allowed. Deidre was, by far, the nicest & most helpful of our hosts during a six day visit to Ireland. She knew we were heading to Ballvaughan & Doolin next. She contacted the ferry for times and provided us with a map of the area. We... more

Modern, spotless, comfortable, run by a charming family. The kids were great. The little girl asked me where the other "boy" was, referring to my 68-year-old brother. The lounge was a perfect place to relax and chat. A computer was available in the lounge, equipped only with Windows 98, but it still allowed one to catch up on emails. Excellent... more

I booked a room at Avarest after reading reviews on tripadvisor...I have to tell you this was one of the best places we stayed. The place itself is beautiful and situated in one of the most picturesque towns in Ireland. The room was nice and clean...it's perfectly located if you are flying in or out of Shannon, it's just minutes... more

My friend and I spent only one night at Avarest (alas!), and it was truly wonderful. Deirdre is a warm and friendly hostess, with a geniune interest in her guests. She had some great suggestions for us for things to do nearby. The breakfast was delicious... we both had the pancakes, which came garnished with fresh strawberries. This was a... more

My husband I spent three nights at Avarest through this past weekend and absolutely loved it. When we checked in Deirdre helped us book the Medieval Banquet at Bunratty, securing us spots at Sunday evening's 1st banquet. Our room was lovely and spacious, and the shower was to die for - unelievably great water pressure. We decided to leave early... more

My sister and I recently spent a wonderful night at the Avarest B&B in Bunratty (Hurler's Cross to be specific:) in mid April. Deirdre was a warm and welcoming host. Her home was beautiful with an amazing garden out front and a warm and inviting interior. The rooms were super clean and comfortable, but it was truly the wonderful hostess... more

We stopped here, based on other reviews at the beginning and end of our trip from Shannon. Dierdre was very accomodating to let us come early on our arrival and sleep off a little bit of travel. We booked in with her again the night before our departure for the final rest. Beautiful home, location and easy to get to... more

This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay in a perfect location for Bunratty, shopping, Ennis and a gateway to West Clare. It is minutes from Shannon Airport, as well, which is handy on the way home. The house is very well run with state of the art facilities and a surprisingly varied menu for breakfast. The house is warm,... more
