My boyfriend and I rented the junior suite at Rancho for two nights when we arrived with a late flight to Cancun. We had room 13 when we came back from Tulum and surroundings at the end of the trip. Rancho was touched by Hurricane and rebuilt without showing... This place is great transition place! We were welcomed by the... more

We chose Rancho because we were looking for a quiet beach vacation to recover from weeks of intense work. The reviews on tripadvisor were great, so we went with the recommendations and we were not sorry! What an awesome place. We arrived and took a short 25 minute taxi rise from the Cancun airport to the hotel. The couple who... more

Me and my fiancé stayed here in early May of 2007 and absolutely loved our stay. Since we were there after Easter, the hotel and the town itself had little tourists around and we felt we had everything to ourselves. We loved our upstairs room that had a beautiful view of the Caribbean and hammocks to lounge in. The hotel... more

After arriving at the Cancun airport, we headed straight to Rancho Sak Ol for our first night. Rancho is an excellent little hotel- so glad we found out about it through this web site. Rooms are super clean, staff are super friendly, and the breakfast is wonderful! Love the swinging beds and hammocks on the balcony. We stayed here another... more

So chuffed when the taxi pulled up, it is absolutely idyllic. And it just got better. Room was perfect; spacious, clean and fulfilled all imaginings of a tropical paradise. There was a beautiful view, with hammocks to laze in on our private balcony. the suspended, swinging bed lulled us to sleep. We went for an upstairs room without AC, but... more

Rancho Sak Ol is a relaxing and unique bed and breakfast. The town of Puerto Morales is a relatively quiet low key fishing village, which is a welcome change from the highly developed towns of Cancun and Playa del Carmen. The snorkeling at the coral reefs around Puerto Morales is said to be perhaps the best in the Yucatan. Rancho... more

The swing bed gave us the best nights sleep we had during our 4 week stay in Mexico.Generous breakfasts and full use of the communal kitchen had us walking to town for supplies at the local market.Clean rooms and a balcony with hammocks for relaxing after a day of snorkling.Try to get rooms 7 or 9 on the second floor more

We were looking for a tourist-free, uncommercialized holiday and Rancho Sak Ol and the town of Puerto Morelos is where we found it. Instead of paying for a pricey shuttle we took the ADO bus from the airport to the highway junction of Puerto Morelos for 40 pesos each. From there we got a taxi---negotiated 40 pesos for the trip... more

Rancho was for my wife and I the best hotel we stayed at during our ten day visit to the Mayan Riviera. It was also the cheapest. We loved the fact that, even fully booked, the place was peaceful and quiet, and we could lie out on the beach, or on the hammocks in front of our room, without hardly... more

A lot of thought and attention has been put into Rancho Sak-ol. The hand-painted rooms are really beautiful and each one is unique. 2 hammocks outside each room. Breakfast is included and guests can also use the kitchen facilities to prepare their own food. The hotel is situated right on the beach. Puerto Morelos is a great place to spend... more
