We have just returned from a 4-day stay at Voyages Dunk Island and after most of it was beautiful on our final morning opted to take 2 paddle skis out. There were no staff at the watersports desk so we signed the register as we had been instructed and headed towards the little island just in front of the resort.... more

Dunk Island was supposed to be the highlight of our three week trip to Australia. We stayed four nights and it turned out to be the one place we were truly disappointed. Dunk Island is a beautiful island, and has many things to do even if the weather is not perfect, for our 5 night stay it was windy and overcast all of the days. Dunk Island it self is beautiful, white sandy beaches, palm trees and tropical gardens. There are some great walks through the rainforest and down to the beach, the views to the mainland and a small island are great from a position of sitting on the beach a and reading a book. Well we landed back in wintery Adelaide yesterday after a sunny, warm week on Dunk Island. At this time of year the island is warm and generally free of clouds although we had one wet morning, it didn't interfere with our plans!
