We stayed overnight after attending a concert at the Rod Laver Arena. The property is ideally placed for the MCG, Rod Laver & Vodafone Arenas. In Australia for 3 weeks...every hotel/b&b was good to excellent...except for the Georgian Court Guest House. It may have been very nice at one time...but has gone to seed, and needs a good cleaning and rehab. Staff was gracious enough, but could not make up for the shoddiness of the property. Spent 4 nights in this great bed and breakfast. Staff really helpful and friendly. Interesting room, queen bed plus two singles just for me, ensuite, kettle, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. We stayed in three single ensuite rooms for the Melbourne Cup Carnival. We had a fabulous time, really enjoyed Melbourne. Georgian Court was located in a quite leafy street only 2 minutes walk to the tram. Skybus delivers you right to the door and fabulous shopping is a 1 minute tram ride away. We stayed here for 2 separate visits in different rooms. Everything is a bit tired eg saggy chairs in the dining room. It's in a fabulous location (especially for the MCC), but I probably wouldn't stay here again. Both rooms were a bit cramped and rather old-fashioned. Nothing terrible, but nothing special either. more

Located on a very quiet road - this B&B offers basic accomodation. We chose an ensuite bathroom. It is not luxurious, but the hosts are extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great Breakfast buffet where you can eat as much as you wish. Internet access is very convenient too! more
