I wouldn't stay here again - it is very dated and desperately in need of a refurb. on the upside, the shower was hilarious - very powerful - the water shot straight across the whole length of the bath and ran down the wall opposite, then down the side of the bath onto the floor where it kind of flooded.... more

We booked 2 x 2 bedrroms to accommodate 2 families of 6. Not only is this one of the oldest motels we have seen, but inside it was even worse. This is a fairly typical NZ motor inn: concrete block construction, shabby decor (big hole in the carpet next to the bed), nylon sheets and coverlet, spongy mattress. Stayed in this property with 3 children as it was one of the few we could find that had a room sleeping up to 6 people plus a kitchenette. The motel is situated on the edge of Hamilton's CBD, a good half hour walk from the town's better restaurants and bars, although very convenient for some drive through fast food establishments. The hotel itself is clean but the rooms are rather dated and could do with some modernisation. more
