This was the noisiest room ever and we got no sleep. The location was excellent and parking was not a problem. This is a very old building which has been refurbished to a good standard, and we were very happy untill it was time to get some sleep. The window was an old 1900's villa style double hung window which... more

I read reviews about the hotel that the rooms were small....and YES, they were but they were clean and very comfy. All we did was sleep in the room and lounge around in it after we had seen the sights of Wellington.... We basically dumped our bags in the room and we were off....the location is great and easy walking... more

As the other reviews for this motel point out, there's nothing remarkable about the rooms, but for the location and the price it was excellent value. The motel shares some amenities with the fancier hotel next door, so there's easy access to a bar/cafe - not that you need it being that close to the action on Cuba St. We... more

Wellington was almost booked solid this particular weekend, with arts festivals, cricket matches and other sporting events attracting record numbers of visitors. When I called Comfort Hotel for a last minute booking I was greeted by a very pleasant woman who couldn't offer me one room for two nights, but two rooms were available if we didn't mind a twin... more

We were away for five weeks travelling around the whole of New Zealand and this was easily the worst place that we stayed in. Although the location is good the room was very small for the price and the Hotel itself had next to no facilities. There was no internet access apart from pay machines in the lobby. There was... more

The two things this hotel have going for it are its location and its cleanliness. It is very convenient to a lot of restaurants and cafes and to the waterfront. And it was clean. But that was about it for the good stuff. The room barely fit the double bed that we had. It really couldn't have been much more... more

We stayed here twice ~ three nights in March 2006 and six nights in March 2007. We found it to be a good location at a reasonable price. The property is in the Cuba Quarter ~ a colorful neighborhood with a lot of (late) night activity. It is within walking distance to shopping, dining, Te Papa Museum, Botanical Gardens, railway... more

Cuba street is in the heart of everyday Wellington. Its not a huge city, so that means not only is it close to great places to eat and shop, but Te Papa and other places to visit aren't too far either. The main entrance is around the back, and the deal with the 3rd party car park wasn't too good.... more

I really felt like it was a classy hotel for the price. Yes the rooms were small but they were clean and the bathroom was modern with even towel warmers. The staff were friendly and even sought out a local doctor to see to my son's ear infection. Our first night in a new country and we were very happy... more
