We have recently returned from a two week stay at this charming hotel and cannot praise it highly enough. As frequent visitors to Spain we normally stay in the Parador hotels but whenever we visit Ronda we always stay at the Reina Victoria. This is an elegant, sophisticated hotel a million miles away from the brash, noisy, faceless modern hotels... more

You can still see the past beauty of this hotel, but still with charm. Clearly needs a facelift and an upgrade. One of the best locations in Ronda, magic panorama, walking distance to the bridge. Nice garden. Spacious rooms. Parking space available. more

Stayed here on business in April of this year for 2 nights. Whilst the hotels location is great, this is the only positive that I can give. The rooms have dated decor, the carpets are stained, breakfast was not available until 8am (no good if you have an early start) and the pool is green!! I spent as little time... more

Booked via Travel republic.co.uk. The website states that it was built in early 1900's and fully restored to its former glory. Beware. Great location with fantastic views of Ronda and the surrounding hills and the garden is quiet and cool on a hot day although a good 10 minute walk into the old town down hill and 15 minutes back... more

The other reviews are pretty much dead on. I stayed for one night in April 2008. Although this appears to be a lovely historic hotel from the exterior and the parlors, the rooms desperately need some updating. The beds were hard, probably about 20 years old and the bedspread was nothing more than a piece of fabric. The bathroom needed... more

To mention the one positive thing up front: yes, the view is absolutely stunning. You can't beat the location of this hotel. But it would suffice to have coffee there one afternoon. You get to enjoy the view but you are spared the rooms. Other than that, yes, it's smelly (strongly so), shabby, run down and has a strange feel... more

We stayed here in a triple for two nights in December 2007, using Ronda as our central overnight location for day trips in this part of Andalusia. The hotel has a spectacular view from the edge of the gorge and plenty of free on-site parking, but the facilities are a bit dated (other reviewers have commented that it's like sleeping... more

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of August 2007 with 2 teenagers and were a bit worried after reading some of the reviews. However, we were very pleased with our stay. The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. The rooms were nicely decorated and had ample room with a spacious bathroom. Mini bar and hairdryer... more

My Husband and I stayed there for four nights. We went for our 3rd wedding anniversary. We has visited the hotel several times over the last three years because our friends live in La Residencia next door. The Hotel is beautiful downstairs but we were so disappointed when we saw our room. It was old and shabby and needed a... more

Great hotel, just a bit out of the city centre, but just less than 10 minutes walk. The hotel and staff are a bit old-fashioned, but the room we had was very up to date. The staff at the reception was very helpfull. We asked for a room at the first floor. Only a suite was available (price EUR 180,00),... more
