On a business trip I stayed just one night at Hotel Ametyst. fab little hotel, close to wencesles square (walking distance) and even closer to a metro and tram stop. staff were really helpful and if you want you can organise trips from the hotel. if you can pre book your taxi, it will cheaper than getting it from the hotel. more

lovely hotel, very clean and comfortable. (beds a bit firm)! very polite and helpful staff and great breakfast! A tram ride out of the city centre in a quiet residential area. we found several local restaurants which were much cheaper than the city centre and the food was lovely. Ametyst is clean and comfortable but basic; I'm not sure it warrants its 4* status. Our triple room on the third floor had everything we needed but it was far from luxurious. Very nice and tastefully renovated hotel. Delicious breakfast with nice selection of food. Just got back from a 3-night visit to Prague and hotel Ametyst. As a party of four, we all thought the hotel, location and quality was excellent. The rooms were superb, and I could not possibly expect anything better for what we paid... got 3 nights for the price of two and only paid £140 per couple. Breakfast was hearty...... more

Just returned from Hotel Ametyst which was my second stay .Again I thought it was excellent for what we payed .Despite being a little way out the underground and trams to the major parts of the city are about 5 mins away. Room immaculate and breakfast very substantial .You also benefit from the very much cheaper restaurants in the area.... more
