The Monopol is a fantastic base in which to explore KRAKOW,it is only minutes to the old city. I would recommend you ask for a room at the back of the hotel as the front rooms are very noisy with trams running 20hrs a day right under your window. We booked the Monopol using travelrepublic.com, having first of all read the reviews. Knowing we would arrive late in the evening, I e-mailed the hotel to state that this would be the case and received a prompt reply saying there would be no problem and would we like them to book us a taxi to collect us at the airport.... more
