The hotel was undergoing some building works during my stay (2 nights), but it was comfortable. The room was quite spacious with a king size bed, and comfortable too - bed may be a bit too soft for some. TV was a large LCD with access to a lot of channels from all over Europe (English, German, Italian, French and... more

Stayed here for three nights, good location on the banks on the Danube, a rather ugly building from the outside but has been smartly refurbished inside. The rooms are nicely appointed and a good size. Some annoying charges e.g. just to listen to music in your room if you don't want to watch TV, for bottled water in the room... more

Stayed in the Marriott Budapest 3rd week of May 2008 Most of the renovation work had now completed. Evidence of builders and machines at the side of the hotel Very nice hotel with excellent views over the Danube Although I was there on business and was not paying for it myself , I thought it was very expensive ! £1000... more

The Marriott is under renovation, but not a problem. It is really a business hotel with many conventions. There is no specific concierge service which does present a problem. The service was very spotty. Some nights we had turn-down services other times not. Location was wonderful with views of the Danube and the castle. It is steps away from a... more

Stayed at the Budapest Marriott from the 2nd - 5th April 2008. At the time there was still renovation work being undertaken to the left of the lobby and a temporary executive lounge was in place on the mezzamine level. The staff did their best to ensure that things continued to run as normal. The room had a spectacular view... more

Stayed here for three nights from Sunday to Wednesday in April 2008. We got the room for a fairly good rate using Priceline. All told a very good stay but there are a few quirks to the hotel. Check-in was slow but I discovered it's because the front desk seems to go out of their way to answer questions from... more

I stayed at this hotel recently while attending a conference. It is located on the banks of the Danube at a short walk from the famous chain bridge. Recently renovated, the bedrooms were comfortable (specially if you got one with a river view), the bathrooms were a bit small but quite made up by the toiletries. The staff was warm... more

We booked this hotel through Priceline for 101 USD (taxes included). The view was outstanding, even though we were only on the first floor. I could only imagine how great it might have been if we were up higher. The hotel was under major renovations when we were there. They were nearing completion. The lobby was small. Staff friendly. We... more

I was disappointed with the Marriott Budapest. The staff were not very knowledgeable about the sights, about how to get anywhere, and had no or very little concierge services. The reception desk served as a concierge or the concierge would be in an office behind closed doors. The staff rarely smiled, and were not very helpful. I asked about tram... more

Budapest Marriott Excellent stay at Budapest Marriott in February. The hotel was undergoing renovations so an accurate assessment might be skewed. The staff at the front desk seemed disinterested and over worked. The lobby bar staff also seemed just complacent without a willingness to serve. The air in our room was not working. But it was cool outside so we... more
