Hotel Pest is within walking distance of all the sights of Budapest. The rooms are basic but clean and quite spacious. Breakfast is very good .. I made several trips to the buffet table and was delighted to find chocolate spread ! The hotel will organise a car to pick you up from the airport if you email them and... more

The hotel is in a great location, just over 1 block from Andrassy ut, a metro stop and the Opera House. The property is well-maintained, both the public areas and our hotel room. Our room (for 3 people) faced the inner courtyard / atrium, and it was HUGE. The third bed was an actual bed, not a foldout cot or... more

The entrance to this hotel is just a door in a wall. When you go in you are in a long white corridor, at the end is reception. The hotel is in fact in the centre of an enormous block and is quite hidden away. All the rooms look out over a inner square and it is really quiet at... more

The hotel sent a driver to pick us up at the train station - he spoke very good English and made us feel welcome in Budapest. Hotel staff were well trained, courteous and often downright friendly. They gave us great restaurant referrals right in the neighborhood. They even helped translate my husband's Hungarian grandmother's baptismal certificate! Breakfast is the usual... more

We stayed 3 nights in a very quiet, very spacious, very clean and comfortable room. Friendly, helpful staff; good breakfast in attractive dining room; excellent location. Maybe lacks a little bit of character but I quite liked the bare white walls, and can't really fault it. A safe bet for a comfortable, convenient stay in Budapest. more

Based on the price and reviews on Trip Advisor, we opted to stay in the Hotel Pest. We did not expect opulence at this price, but wanted a safe, comfortable, clean room, breakfast, and a good location. All of those requirements were more than amply met. The Hotel Pest is in an ideal spot for sightseeing and cafe-hopping. Our room... more

In an absolute quiet street, near the Opera House, less than ten minutes on foot to St Stephen and then the Parliament Area. Also many good restaurants and shops around, towards the Oktogon. The rooms were huge and clean, and so was the bathroom. Better try to choose with views to the inner courtyard. Staff was cordial and efficient, and... more

Good facilities and well located, this hotel is a great value, excellent 3* hotel. We had all the facilities we needed, the room and ensuite were big, the staff friendly and helpful, the continental buffet breakfast had everything you would expect and everywhere was spotlessly clean and well cared for. I find it hard to criticise anything - except it... more

I chose the Pest Hotel for two weekend nights on a pleasure trip, and very much enjoyed the stay. The room was in good shape - surprisingly large room, furniture in good shape, quite clean. The bed looked spartan but was comfortable. The deck clerks spoke enough English to get me by, and were very accomodating - I borrowed a... more

Absolutely loved Hotel Pest! I booked my reservations directly with the hotel for a five night stay in August 2007. The hotel arranged for taxi service to/from the airport; which I strongly recommend. My driver’s English was excellent and he pointed out landmarks and provided a great introduction to Budapest. Upon arrival at the Hotel Pest, I was warmly greeted... more
