I had a one night stopover in Riga and needed somewhere cheap and central. In these respects the Hotel Irina was perfect. It's situated right beside the train station and also close to where the airport bus (number 22, public bus) drops off at the Stockmann Centre/Forum Cinema. I was travelling alone and wasn't looking for anything special, just to... more

I truly wish I could find a single nice thing to say about this hotel (then going by the name Saulite, I can see why they might change it) I guess there was the location which made it convenient for getting out! They raised the price of my room after I stayed there and did not clean the room, which... more

1. The location was good. Essentially across the street from the train station, and a couple of blocks from the bus station. It was in the “newer” part of town, yet just a few blocks from the old town. The train station had a lot of stores and restaurants, and across the street from the train station, towards the bus... more

I stayed there because it was cheap. My bodyguard advised against staying due to security issues. In fact, he was horrified that I'd spent a single night there before engaging him. I had their de-luxe room and it was pretty awful. The carpet was black and greasy. The room was thoroughly impregnated with stale tobacco and there were cockroaches everywhere.... more

As there were 6 of us going on a stag do we wanted a cheap hotel in the city center. The Hotel Saulite was perfect. It was really clean & was right in the center. Our room was made up every day. The mini bar was very cheap costing £2 a beer or little spirit bottle. They have breakfast served... more

I stayed in room 206 from august 1 to 6. This room funny enough it started playing music about 7 in the morning, from somewhere inside the hotel!!! Also the hotels lack of aircondition is a problem in a noisy street where you have to close the window for sleeping! the hotel have a great location for its price, with... more

I booked this hotel after reading the glowing reviews and came away very disappointed. I stayed here for 3 nights in early August. The location was on a busy corner just about 5-7 minutes from the Old Town so it was easy to get around. But the room had several problems. My room had a loud generator or some big... more

We had average budget, but the location was the main point for us, cos Riga doesn`t have tube lines and we was`t ready to learn to use public transport at all. So the location is perfect. Next to the train and bus stations (but they are clean and not nosy at all), we had rooms with windows on the square... more

I was looking for a cheap place to stay in Riga but not too far from the centre. This hotel fitted the bill perfectly, being less than five minutes from the centre. The hotel is situated on a busy street but nevertheless the room was very quiet. The room was basic and not very large but everything was in good... more

I stayed in the holel Saulite from the 26th of november for 3 nights. This was my second visit to riga and this hotel was a major improvement on the hotel i stayed in on my first visit. The room was clean, if a little basic, but was great value for the price I paid. The location was excellent, just... more
