A B&B that does the job, nothing more. Pluses: fine location, about 10 minutes on foot to Dupont Circle subway stop, and just 5 minutes to restaurants, shops and upscale street life. I've stayed at The American Guest House before, and will visit here again next time I'm in DC. Rooms are nicely appointed, and exceptionally clean. Very easy to find in a fun and trendy area. They were super about a late check in. The staff was extremely gracious throughout the entire process. Breakfast was immense and excellent. We were very happy with our stay at the American West House at Washington DC. Although its location is not the best they compensate it with an excellent service and clean and spacious rooms. The center is only two metro stations away anyway. I will defenetly recommend it to my friends visiting Washington DC! more
