My husband and I stayed at the Intown Uptown Inn for 3 nights and we had a wonderful stay. The inn is beautiful and the rooms are clean, well kept, and comfortable. We stayed in the SoHo room which has a nice contemporary feel with a gorgeous large bathroom. Sandy is such a friendly, welcoming hostess and we felt right... more

My husband and I have traveled the east coast from the Florida Keys to the chilly coasts of Nova Scotia, and we both were extremely impressed by the quality, affordability and attention Sandy, Miles and the Intown Uptown Inn displayed. Jacuzzi bath tubs, rich antiques, gourmet breakfasts, comfortably pillowed beds, and other amenities greeted us each day for our stay.... more

We were spending a month holidaying in the States and wanted to start our journey by doing something (for us) slightly different. B & B in the States was a new experience and our first 4 nights at the Intown Uptown Inn was a great choice. The web page painted an interesting picture - we were attracted to it's proximity... more

I truly enjoyed my recent stay at this wonderful B&B. The home is decorated with antiques, however, it is comfortable and one doesn't feel out of place. I stayed in the Wysteria room which was eclectic and bright. The bathroom was large and included a huge jacuzzi. I loved the lavender soap provided by the inn. Every morning was a... more

My wife and I prefer staying at bed and breakfast's and do at least once every year. My son and daughter in law gave us this stay for Christmas in 2007. This has turned into a yearly gift based on our feed back to them. "We love it" and have stayed at many different places. Our experience at The Intown... more

I spent 3 nights at the Intown Uptown Inn, and it was absolutely fantastic. The shared bathroom rooms have a great view of the city and only two rooms share the bathroom with a max of 3 people. The room was spacious with a big TV, a nice dresser, and a comfortable bed. It was quiet at night and I... more

Stayed here two nights. The house is beautiful, my room (Soho) very comfortable, the food delicious. When I read the reviews before staying here, I wondered how a breakfast could be "gourmet". Now I know. There are also snacks and soda or water available all day. Very friendly and helpful people. They even provide maps and bus schedules. The other... more

My husband and I stayed in the Corleone Room for 4 nights in May 2008. The room was fantastic--tastefully decorated and comfortable with a lovely bathroom. The inn is beautiful and peaceful. Situated across the street from a bus stop, and since we relied on public transportation during our stay, it was easy for us to access all the museums... more

My husband and I spent 2 nights there, including our first anniversary night. Sandy went above and beyond to ensure that we were not only comfortable at the inn, but had everything we needed to sightsee around D.C. She booked our dinner reservations for us, and just gave us a lot of attention all around (even though she had a... more

So we went to the uptown for a memorial day weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. We stayed in the Hollyhock which had a shared bathroom but since no one was in the other room we had it too ourselves. The inn is outside of the city about a 10 minute bus ride that didn't seem too long and we were... more
