Stayed here while attending a conference downtown. Downtown hotels were out of my price range, so I started looking in neighborhoods along the subway line and found the Omni. Booked a suite with a kitchenette and sitting room. Suite was HUGE and the price was very affordable. Saved money by taking left overs home from restaurants and eating them later.... more

As far as Best Western hotels go this one was not bad. Got off to a bad start though, we booked and paid for our room through Priceline and on arrival the receptionist tried to charge us again. The room which was clean and comfortable was on the corner of the building and was an unusual shape. It offered a... more

My husband and I went to Washington as tourists in October 2007 and spent four nights at the Georgetown Hotel and Suites. The hotel is very well located, close to the Metro, Georgetown, Dupont Circle, and George Washington University. The National Mall is a pleasant 1 mile walk. The area felt very safe and there was enough activity on the... more

When I arrived for two-day mid-week stay they had over booked and it took them two hours to find me another much cheaper Best Western hotel miles from Washington D.C. near a highway north of the Pentagon with no restaurant. This was a bad start. The staff seemed to be completely lost and the manager even worse. While waiting the... more

The hotel is in a great location, easy to get to George Washington University, the metro and Georgetown. We took our son to Washington to visit the local colleges. The room was way too small for 3 people. The staff was not very helpful. Lots of language problems. As for the free breakfast, well it was free and lets leave... more

We got a great deal on this hotel, but you get what you pay for. The hotel is in a great location (safe and near the metro), but a lot needs to be updated. The sheets on the pull out bed were dirty and overall the room wasn't very clean. It could also be that things are old, thus dirtier.... more

Stayed 2 nights July 12 & 13. Hotel was hard to find, had to self park in another hotels garage a street over. There are a few steps before the lobby and no one to help with bags. Finally got a guy but by then we had hauled most of our luggage. Rooms are in need of updating and actually... more

Family of four stayed 5 nights in June. We got a great deal on the place, basically half price in the prime summer months. For about $150 a night it was worth it, but I wouldn't spend much more. Beds were 1 double and 1 pull out couch which was very uncomfortable, even for the kids. The sheets were very... more

My husband and I just returned from a long weekend in Washington DC. The Best Western has an outstanding location. You can easily walk to Georgetown and Dupont Circle restaurants and shops as well as the Foggy Bottom Metro Station which takes you anywhere in the city. The staff was very pleasant but the rooms are dated and need many... more

I agree with a lot of the other reviews. It's not 4 star, but pretty good value for the price. Certainly better than the ALA conference hotels (we got closed out of them, but this was nearby to one so we could ride the conference shuttles. The room was clean. Beds not the most comfortable but we slept OK (my... more
