We decided to stay here after struggling to find a hotel within our budget -- and one that offered twin rooms. What is it about american hotels and not offering twin rooms? Anyway.... we were in DC for 2 days, half of which we spent travelling there from NYC. Check in was quick and efficient. We unpacked our suitcases onto... more

I came down from NYC area for a long cherry blossom weekend with my young adult (22 year old) daughter. When we learned of the three flight walk up and no on site parking - we began to stress. Once the staff bent over backwards to help us with the luggage, and steered us to an inexpensive very close parking... more

The Embassy Inn had reasonable rates the weekend I had to go to DC: and considering it was the opening of the Cherry Blossom Festival, I expected to pay for an expensive room somewhere. I had a twin bed for $99. The room was EXTREMELY small, but very, very clean and cozy. There was a tv with cable, and the... more

The good points: a quaint hotel, kind of funky in a college-type neighborhood with a good breakfast. The bad points: I booked through Cheaptickets/Orbitz and paid $35 more than the walk-up rate. I got a basement room with a 7-foot ceiling, bars on the window (that faced an alley). The door hit the nightstand as I entered the room. The... more

This is a charming little hotel about a 15 minute walk north of the White House, on 16th & Corcoran. I don't know why other reviewers were paying $150, but we booked directly on the hotel's site and most of the weekend room rates were $69. We paid $70 ($80.15 with tax) for a room with a view, which is... more

My girlfriend and I had FOUR mouse sightings between the two of us, in our first hour after checking in. The first was in the hallway, and the next three sightings were in our room. This itself is a major health hazard. The Embassy Inn arranged to transfer us to their sister hotel, the Windsor Inn, but it took us... more

Management response from
aliergul, manager/owner

We have closed floors in the building and went through every room and closed all the holes and set traps to make sure there is not a possibility of mice getting in the building due to cold weather or they do not nest in the building. In addition we have put poison in the walls to prevent any future incidents....

The Embassy Inn has two things going for it: price and location. We stayed there for three nights in October 2007 to do some sightseeing, and it served its purpose as a place to sleep and take a shower. There's nothing fancy about the rooms, which are small, but they have hot water and cable TV and just enough room... more

Being a student on a budget, I was attracted to the reasonable rate that this hotel published. However, for $170 a night, I was expecting more than a closet sized room and a twin bed. To the hotel's credit, the rooms were clean, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the location was great. I would stay there again... more

I don't know how to give this review because the hotel did not reserve the room I requested so I didn't stay there. I had a confirmation number and when I called to confirm it took 2 hours with Orbitz and them to even acknowledge that I made the request. I reserved a double room and they offered me a... more

We stayed here for a couple of nights and chose it because we were on a budget. The hotel had a lovely, homely atmosphere, wth very friendly service. The room was fairly small and everything (the tv, bathroom) seemed dated, but it all added to the character of the place in my opinion! One disadvantage however, was that the bathroom... more
