Easy, pleasant access to Metro; safe area; grocery store, CVS at top of Metro; Potbelly's sandwich shop excellent. We found our room clean and newly redecorated. The king bed was average; I agree about the strange-sized bed pillows. The room coffee was great; stay away from the lobby coffee; vending machines are spotty, so stock up at the nearby stores.... more
Thank you for the recent review of our hotel. We strive hard to ensure that your stay in Washington is the best trip ever! I just wanted to comment on the towels. We are constantly changing out old towels with new ones, so if you feel the towels are a little old or worn, please request new towels and we...
Pros: Low price compared to many other DC hotels Convenient location in non-congested area of city Metro stop just a short walk Parking garage Restaurants and convenience stores nearby Relatively clean Night security guard Cons: Staff not very helpful Some rooms in disrepair: some electrical outlets don't work; our toilet malfunctioned. Both printers in lobby didn't work Bottom line: I'd... more
As other people have said this hotel is quite reasonable for D.C. The location is quite nice-- A short 2 block walk to the metro in a residential area. There's a market next to the metro stop and a couple of nice restaurants across the street. The room was pretty much what you would expect for this class of hotel...nothing... more
We stayed in the Days Inn for 5 days in March. We chose it primarily because of its location - close to the DC Metro. The room was quite small, and we only had a view of the alley. But the service was pretty good, and the location was very convenient. There are several restaurants nearby, and a CVS across... more
I'd be giving this a rating of 3.5 if I could - three seems a bit low. Since I booked 5 days at this hotel for my family, I was terrified by all the bad reviews I read about this hotel. Maybe that helped lower my expectations... I duno. Anyhow, the room itself was comfy and very clean. The sheets... more
The lobby here is pretty nonexistent, although it does have two computers to check email. My room was clean, but the bathroom could use some updating. My biggest complaint was the location of my room. It was right next to a stairwell and I heard every person who came and left the hotel well into the night. I also had... more
I checked in at 4pm on a Friday and went up to my room. I looked around and saw DUST everywhere. The room smelled like some kind of fumigant powder. The wires on the TV were hanging. Half the lights worked. The bed looked like something was living in it. I did not take my coat off. I used my... more
A friend and I stayed at this hotel in late November/early December. The price was the best around, and the proximity to the Metro station cannot be beat. Safe neighborhood, quiet room, and very easy to reach from the Reagan airport. That being said, at this price I certainly don't expect luxury-- but I do expect a clean room. Our... more
Family of 4 stayed at this hotel. We do not usually stay at this chain but the hotel was pretty clean and has been recently renovated. At 89/night this was the best deal in DC. Location was great, steps from the metro. Unfortunately, service was terrible: even though we made our reservation months in advance, we did not get 2... more
