O.k., the location is very nice but the compliments stop there. Several people in our group with confirmed reservations backed by a credit card were told there were no available rooms and the desk clerk told us that its a common practice at this hotel. Another member of our group was moved by the staff while he was out of... more

Overall, stay was not very satisfying. I will not stay here again, as there are other hotels that give better value. The internet and temperature problems (see below) are not acceptable. Pro's (+) and con's (-) below: (+) Friendly front desk staff was very nice and quick to check me in. (+) Clean, spacious room. Carpet, bed mattresses and linens... more

The Grand Hyatt Washington is a nice hotel, with a "lagoon" in the lobby area. Overall, here where the pros and cons: Pros: 1. Service: I found the staff to be very friendlly and helpful. The waitstaff in the Grand Cafe lobby restaurant was very attentive. 2. Rooms: The rooms were clean and comfortable. 3. Business Center: There is an... more

The actual hotel building and lobby/atrium is very dated and tacky, aside from that, the guest rooms are updated, simple, and very typical of other Hyatt's we have stayed in. No flat screen TV in our room, but it did have an iHome iPod docking station. The valet service was incredibly slow, it took the one man who was working... more

I just returned from a 3 night stay at the Grand Hyatt Washington. I didn't pay as I was there as part of a conference scholarship, but I really found it to be a wonderful place. The room was clean, comfortable and had all the necessary business amenities. Check in and out was easy and I was particularly impressed with... more

Reserved a "Club Level" room with Hyatt for the first weekend of the Cherry Blossom Festival. Nice hotel, average for a Hyatt property. Got in about an hour and a half early and they let us check in, which was nice. Got up to the room, looked the same as every other Hyatt room I've stayed in. So really, no... more

We upgraded to the Club King. The room was nice (typical Hyatt room), and it was nice to have the perks of the Club (free drinks, light dinner). However, don't waste your money on the Room Service. We tried both breakfast and dinner from room service. The muesli arrived with milk on it and had been sitting around for so... more

There are better hotels in Washington. This may be a Hyatt but it certainly isn't grand. Don't waste your money for the upgrade to club level. The lounge is very small. The service from the two women at night was fine; however, the man in charge the next morning was no help whatsoever. In fact, when the onion and capers... more

If you want a decent hotel in the heart of D.C. with easy access to the subway and a short walk to the Capitol Mall, then this place is as good as any. You're not going to be disappointed and you're not going to be blown away. It's a big city hotel. The good news is that it's clean and... more
