My wife and I just returned from a trip to DC and stayed at the Hyatt. Our room, as the title suggests, was very nice and clean. However, the entire hotel is under a serious renovation. When you walk in the front doors you are met with banging hammers, plastic dividers, and a makeshift front desk that is no more... more

This hotel is currently undergoing a major remodel which will supposedly be finished some time in September. Naturally, no mention is made of this on their website. Currently (mid July) the place is a mess. It is a disservice to their customers to even have it open. After entering, we had no idea where the reception was and there was... more

I stayed at the Hyatt for one night and found the rooms to be great! I loved the Ipod clock, that allows you to charge your Ipod. That was a very nice touch. Also I LOVED the beds! They were so comfortable I thought I was at home. I think the best part though were the bathrooms. The shower is... more

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill recently. It is undergoing considerable construction which makes things seem a bit jumbled. The lounge/breakfast buffet on the 11th floor was actually pretty nice but the view of the Capitol is now obstructed by new construction going on next door. The buffet is pricey but there is plenty to eat. If you... more

Wanted to save the stress of driving in and out for the 4th, so looked on-line and found a good price at the Hyatt. There was my wife, my son 3 and myself. On the plus side, they have a great gym! I went there every morning and really felt it was first class. The pool, although we didn't use... more

I stayed at this hotel on business for 3 nights. First of all, the hotel did NOT tell me that there was going to be construction going on everywhere, and I booked FAR in advance. The first room we (my partner and I) went to on the 11th floor had a NON working air conditioner. When we asked to switch... more

I got this hotel through Priceline.com and was completely disappointed. I'm not sure how this qualifies as a 4-star hotel? The lobby area was a complete mess with all the construction going on. It was a zoo trying to check in with all the people coming and going in the tight area. We stayed on the 11-floor, which is the... more

If you want to see DC, this is a great location from which to start and end your day. While in appearance to be in a business district, the walk to the Capitol is five minutes, Union Station is at most a ten minute walk (A Metro station is also at Union Station). Other reveiws I had read prior to... more

Yes, the lobby was a construction zone but it did not impact our stay negatively. We were not bothered by construction noise (but our stay was during the weekend and not during the middle of the week). We liked the location----walking distance to Union Station, Capitol building, Supreme Court, and the Library of Congress. If we needed a taxi one... more

This Hyatt is conveniently located near Union Station and Capitol Hill. Its rooms have been recently rennovated, but the lobby is currently under construciton. The gym is generally good with great equipment, but the pool area could use some cleaning. The rennovated rooms still have some minor problems - leaking faucets and electircal outlets that don't work. The bell staff... more
