From the moment we arrived at the San Pedro Airport, I knew this was going to be a special trip. I was surprising my wife for our 15th anniversary. I was a little worried when we got to the Airport in Belize City (we had a direct flight from Charlotte) because it was not what we are used to. However,... more

First I have to say there is not such thing as sea lice. There is Jelly Fish larvae, which is normally only observed in April. These lay dormant in the ocean fllor sand until released by storms or disturbed by people. Wearing sun screen or bug repellant is the best solution. We did not experience any problem with them at... more

How do you spell "Perfection" ? My wife and I now spell it ~ C A Y O ~ E S P A N T O ! For our 25th anniversary I reserved this slice of Heaven on Earth for seven days and nights. We were blown away, in every detail! Our personal houseman, Obed, could not have been more... more

For our honeymoon in August of 2000, we stayed in Belize for 4 days, then as a surprise to my wife, I booked Cayo Espanto for 3 days. She LOVES the water, so immeidately upon arriving, we hopped into the water, only to find out that you can't go swimming. A few seconds after jumping into the water, we noticed... more

Cayo Espanto was a deram come true. We expected to have a very nice time on a private island but it turned into something much better. We were treated almost like royalty with every detail thought out. The staff was beyond great and they were trained to be as accomodating as required. The accomadations were luxurious and the views fot... more

I dream at night that when I wake up I will be back at Cayo Espanto! This is truly a beautiful place. My husband and I got married in our Casita last July in a private ceremony. The setting was perfect! The food, staff, and privacy are all what you would expect (and then some!) There really is nothing like... more

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Cayo Espanto in Belize in January of 2007. Of all the beautiful places we've traveled, we had never seen a place so beautiful and peaceful. The accomodations were luxurious but you felt like you were in the islands. The grounds were so well kept that we couldn't imagine when or... more

My partner and I just returned from Cayo Espanto and it is, without a doubt, the most indulgent property we have ever experienced. We were only there five days and wish it had been longer. From the moment they sent us the Guest Preference Survey we had a feeling that this place was special. On our survey, we listed our... more

What can I say - the staff at Cayo Espanto really have their act together. From the personal service to the food to the accommodations - everything was PERFECT!! We took a few excursions - and it was all arranged by the staff. I felt as though we were the only ones on the picturesque island. We commented that now... more
