We had a wonderful Christmas at this resort. The room was large and bright, and there was a small balcony. The restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced and there's a choice of two pools, one with a bar. The office staff were helpful in arranging snorkelling tours and golf cart rental (the most popular form of transport on the island).... more

This was a good pick. The facilities are great except maybe for the pool which almost felt like it was an indoor pool. We did not use the beach right at the hotel since it's pretty unswimmable but a short walk towards the town took us to a small opening in a reef that was great for swimming. We got... more

The room was nice and clean. We had a nice ground level ocean ground room. We had 2 cameras stolen out of our room and everything points to the maid. The manager did nothing fo us. We filed police reports, but all we got is "we are investigating". 3 days after the cameras disappeared, the lock was changed on our... more

We stayed here for 6 nights after a week in the jungle. Its a little out of town but I have to say we really enjoyed the walks to the centre. You can either go through the streets or along the beach. The one bedroom courtyard suite was very spacious, clean and well air conditioned. We had breakfast every morning... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay over Spring Break at Banana Beach Resort. The two pools were fun to relax and splash in after a day of snorkeling and diving. The grounds and rooms were well-maintained and the staff was very friendly. Monkey Business shop was helpful and the free internet was helpful to have. We would recommend Banana... more

We had a fabulous time once again at Banana Beach. Our second time there and it seemed to be yet better. The staff remembered us and were so pleasant and friendly. The rooms were very clean and the 2 pools are great. Having the restaurant and martini bar on site is great. The beach was always kept clean and raked.... more

Firstly, I must admit that we were spoiled by the other resorts we had stayed at before Banana Beach. The other resorts more than met our expectations; Banana Beach only met our expectations. Our room was fine, with a nice view of the resort next door and small view of the ocean from our balcony. It was airconditioned, it had... more

This was a nice spot for a quiet vacation, far enough from town but still only a $5 cab ride from anywhere. The pools were virtually ours exclusively, in fact it seemed as though we were often the only ones around, never a crowd at any time of day. Chairs on the beach were always available. The included breakfast was... more

We arrived in San Pedro and checked into a room at Banana Beach Resort on January 22, 2008. From all counts, this was the biggest bang for your buck on the island. The staff was friendly and the pool was small but nice. As we walked into our room we were hit with a really intense musty smell. It took... more

The hotel was so much better than it looked on the internet. We had so much fun. The staff was incredibly friendly and we were picked up by our dive groups (Amigos and Ecologic) right behind the hotel on the dive pier each day. There is beach for miles in both directions, the ones that didn't like the area behind... more
