Arrived in San Pedro and Ruby's full but got in Room #26 after two nights elsewhere. Loved it....new airconditioning that worked...very clean....hot water. Ocean front balcony and quiet. I meticulously researched my trip (traveling with my brother) before booking and Ruby's Hotel seemed like the best deal -- after staying there for a week, I can back that up with 1st-hand experience. I've been staying at Ruby's for a long time now. The older section of the hotel is rickety and cheap, but on the beach and walking distance to anywhere. For the price, you can't beat it. I usually stay in the beach front airconditioned rooms. They're more expensive at US$60, but a great deal for a room on the Caribbean. more
