The only other review of this guest house mentions how unsafe they felt. I did not have the same experience. There is a lock to the front gate, and to every room (obviously). However, Belize City is an unpleasant city at best, and therefore any place you stay won't feel terribly impressive. If you can avoid staying in Belize City,... more

We had decided to stay at the Seaside Guesthouse because it was recommended in a respected travel guide. When we arrived, we were mortified - both in terms of comfort level of the rooms, and in regard to our own personal safety. Please take our advice: avoid this place by all means necessary. more
