I have been working on this review for almost 2 months! We spent 9 days at Barefoot Cay in mid-May and I have been enjoying the wonderful memories, trying to condense them into a review that would really do justice to "the Cay". Our stay there and our visit to Roatan ranks right up there with one of our best... more

the owner is a real jerk, yelling at everybody. Take one hour to be served at the restaurant.mosquitos more than anywhere else on the island. diving instructor with only 120 dives, it gives you an idea! and kids are not really welcome...for the price forget it! more

I loved my stay at Barefoot Cay. The private island setting is beautiful and the staff was amazing. The place is small enough that the staff gets to know you individually and really personalizes your stay, up to preparing custom gourmet meals just for you. They facilitated everything I wanted to do in Roatan. I went primarily to dive, and... more

We just returned from Barefoot Cay and I couldn't wait to write this review! As others have said, this place is really terrific and an oasis of peace and quiet. I was traveling with a teenage son and we both were completely laid back and relaxed from the moment we arrived. A combination of remoteness (laying on the palapa with... more

We docked our 42' sailboat at the marina for a two week stay in May. The marina is very well constructed and provides excellent all weather protection at secure docks. The marina is part of the small, private resort which has a restaurant, dive shop and spa facilities on site as well as access to tours and activities on Roatan.... more

We spent a wonderful week at Barefoot Cay, on Roatan. The place is lovely. With only 12 guests at one time it is friendly, quiet with all the personal attention you could wish for. There were several things that set it apart from other places we have stayed. It is on a small Island with a boat always available to... more

I'm not sure where to start! We had a wonderful, amazing 2 weeks at Barefoot Cay for our honeymoon. From the time we were picked up from the airport to the time we were dropped back off at the airport, we were treated with the utmost care. We were greeted at the airport by Haydee and Santos. All of our... more

Barefoot Cay was an absolutely amazing experience. It goes down as one of THE best places I have stayed and I have stayed at a lot of really nice places (think Four Seasons). From the moment arrived we were greeted with a lovely cocktail and given a tour of the property by Mel who helps run the resort. She is... more

My husband and I came to Roatan on our honeymoon - I could not have dreamt up a better way to spend the week after our wedding! Everyone at the Cay was friendly, from the moment they picked us up at the little airport. They had tasty iced fruit drinks waiting for us when we arrived and showed us to... more

WOW!! What an amazing place! I know there are so many wonderful reviews of this hotel, but I thought I really needed to add one more! :) We had such a great experience here. It is such a personalized place. The staff is fantastic here. From the darling kitchen staff to the boat drivers to the owners to the office... more
