I stayed at the Days Inn Athens during an academic conference at UGA, booking at the AAA rate of around $85/night. I've stayed in a lot of 2* hotels over the years and have generally been impressed with the Days Inn chain, but this particular hotel leaves a lot to be desired. The room was shabby--peeling wallpaper, a general dinginess,... more

Nothing fancy, but clean, walking distance to downtown restaurants and bars and it was cheap. Also had a nice breakfast selection. Good choice for an Athens trip to see a show or 2 at the Georgia Theatre. more

We were looking for a convenient place to stay in Athens for a three-day visit, but we did not want to pay the $100+/per day prices of some of the higher rated hotels/motels. Based on the reviews here, we booked the Athens Days Inn directly with them and received a discount - and a daily rate about 40% less than... more

Very convenient, clean and looks to have been recently refreshed. Also a good value. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Located near two good restaurants: The Grit & Big City Cafe. more

Days Inn is located close to the city center but in a quiet side street. The room was big and the staff was very helpful. The best thing I remember about the hotel is the huge breakfast selection that you wouldn't expect for that price in a hotel chain. We were really satisfied that we chose Days Inn in Athens... more

My husband and I stayed at the Days Inn in Athens for one night in October 2007. The room was very inexpensive and I expected to be completely disappointed. Overall, the room was very clean and quiet. The hotel is within walking distance to The Grit and any downtown location for the most part (as well as the University). The... more

My family stayed here for five days while attending a music festival, and we were favorably impressed. The staff were helpful and keep the hotel extremely clean. The grounds, including the swimming pool, were also very well-kept. This is a budget hotel so don't expect a fancy lobby or lots of extras, but for an extremely reasonable price, we had... more

I stayed at this Days Inn while in Athens for an audition. It wasn't anything fancy, but it was clean and fairly quiet. One thing I loved was the staff. They were very, very friendly. They were very knowledgable about the area and helped me find everything I needed in town. The breakfast was impressive for a budget motel. I... more

We stayed at the Athens Days Inn in Sept. 2006 to watch our beloved Dawgs play on G-Day (spring game). Asside from the fact that the population swells on game day in Athens, the hotel had rooms available. We checked in with ease and the staff was pleasant. We went upstairs to our room but our key card did not... more

Some of the guests for our wedding stayed here and across the board they had a terrible experience. Rooms were dirty and smelled like mildew. Front desk was very unfriendly and unhelpful. There are plenty of places to stay in this area in Athens; the discount rate you will receive at this hotel just isn't worth it. more
