Dar El Hana- deep in the ancient medina, 5 min. from secure car parking and taxi access. Enjoy welcoming hospitality of household staff, then, when armed with maps and information, set off to explore the Medina. On returning to Dar El Hana, relax in the tranquil atmosphere of this recently restored traditional Moroccan home. The modest decor reflects comfort and quality, accentuating the restored zellige, cedarwood and ironwork of 300 years. Dinners can be arranged on request. more » « less

We stayed in Dar El Hana for 2 nights in July 2008. The Dar was beautiful and the location was great - right in the middle of the Medina. Our room was lovely and also had air conditioning which was a relief in 40oC Fes! The Dar also had a lovely roof terrace where we had dinner one night which... more

We spent 3 days, 2 nights with Josephine and can't praise her personal touch enough. Booking was a breeze by direct e-mail; she even took the time to suggest and arrange tickets for the Sacred Music Festival starting the 2nd night. Her help and care for all details is superb. Let's not forget her extremely helpful and friendly staff. You... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay at Dar el Hana in early June and certainly recommend it to others. We were grateful to previous reviewers for their comments. We received a very quick response to our emails when enquiring about staying together with helpful advise concerning Fes. Josephine, arranged for her driver to collect us (cost 60 Dirhams) from... more

Dar Hanna is a private home located in the middle of the Fes Medina. Josephine, the owner, has brought this beautiful Dar or home back to its original splendor. Rooms are comfortable and very clean, and Josephine treats guests like personal friends staying in her home. Our room had a comfy double bed and private bathroom. We even had a... more

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of spending two nights at Dar El Hana. We were met at our arrival in the Medina, by Josephine, the wonderful proprietor. She was helpful in making the most of our three days in Fes, and went well above any expectations we could have set. Additionally, the guests at the Dar bonded... more

We stayed at Dar El Hana for 3 nights and I booked here because of the great reviews. Leading up to the trip I was a little unsure what to expect of Fes, being 3 women travellers on our own, whether it would be safe and how much hassle we would get. My worries were completely unfounded and we had... more

I was unfortunate that I had change my plans after having booked my accomodation at Dar el Hana. And there was no vacancy for my new dates - so my experiences are not of a stay this place but managing through the issues of booking and cancellations. My experience of interacting with Josephine through all this has been amazing. Since... more

I couldn't praise the Dar El Hana highly enough. I arrived late late late in the night and Josephine made special arrangements to help me find my way. She had a driver pick me up at the train station at about 1:00 am and lead me to the Riad. Upon arrival, she offered me a snack and even hot chocolate.... more

Josephine Kwan we applaud you! This little Dar off the main Talaa Kbira of the Fes Medina is a great place to become initiated with Morocco. Easy to find actually and safe to get back to in the dark. Josephine was a wonderful host and excellent adviser, she even took breakfast with her guests and was full of recommendations! However,... more
