My boyfriend and I have just returned from a 10 day trip to Marrakesh, where we spent one week at Le Caspien, and 3 nights at Dar Zarraba. After reading reviews we were unsure about what to expect, but we were pleasantly suprised. Le Caspien is located in Guerliz (the new town) and is about a 30 minute walk to... more

We stayed here with our Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT) tour group for three nights in November. The tour leader explained that the company had chosen this hotel rather than the one they previously used because travelers had requested a hotel with a central location. The area the hotel is located in has many stores, restaurants, cafes etc. There is a... more

Lovely hotel set in new area of Marrakech, hence some building work evident around the hotel (see pictures) but did not interfere with our stay. Hotel clean, domestic staff always busy moping floors etc and they changed all toiletries, towels and bedlinen everyday with a smile. Towels were a litle past their best but still adequate and floors a little... more

A small but friendly hotel situated in Gueliz - 10 minutes from the main square of Marrakech (in the relatively new part of the City) the hotel plus point was the restaurant which was excellent. A meal for 4 with 2 bottles of wine (fantastic food) was less than £100 for all of us - it was well presented. The... more

We stayed at the hotel for four nights recently. It was clean and the staff were polite enough but I don't really understand why previous reviewers have given the hotel an average of 4.5 out of 5. Either my expectation of the hotel was too high or the standard of hotels in Morrocco isn't too great! The staff were good... more

Had occasion to return to Marrakech and stayed at le Caspien again. The A/C was a big relief after a short hike from the train station. In the evening, after looking for a nice restaurant, I decided to see what the hotel had to offer and I was quite impressed. It was like a nice French bistro, but at 1/3... more

We were initially disappointed with this hotel because the room and bathroom were so small and we were booked for 3 nights. The pool area is also very small, and is really a focal point from the restaurant/bar area. The hotel staff though was wonderful and they completely won us over. By the time we left this was our favorite... more

I was looking for a small hotel, not too expensive, in Gueliz (the New Town) for a short stay. I had stayed in riads in Marrakech previously but wanted somewhere away from the Medina, just for quick getaway when traffic is bad (which is frequent in Marrakech). Came across Le Caspien and booked direct via phone & email (www.lecaspien-hotel.com). Couldn't... more

Very Pretty and clean hotel with nice staff mostly french speaking. Small pool but it was still lovely never got busy. A little secret top floor 7 is... more

A very quiet central hotel with friendly staff & good French Cuisine. The hotel is situated in a side road off one of the main thoroughfares, and is very clean, the rooms a little on the smallside but with a very efficient air conditioning system, towels were not very robust just adequate & only one plastic drinking/toothbrush mug. Bed linen... more
