When we first arrived - in a little sandy coloured taxi - and peered down the 'side street' - we thought... Oh! but what opened up beyond the doorway was paradise. Everything was exquisite. The owner and staff were lovely. The rooms exclusive and the little touch's - sheets turned back - rose petals and chocolates a real treat! The... more

We arrived at the riad on 30 May and stayed there for 2 nights. We had to find our way around the first night as the hotel personnel could not understand or speak any English. There was an English speaking worker at the riad the next morning. We required assistance with regard to the Sahara excursion but we received very... more

We stayed at Le Riad Monceau for the last 2 nights of a 2 week stay in Morocco. Whilst Le Riad Monceau is certainly attractive and well-located, we are surprised at quite how highly it is rated on TripAdvisor. The initial greeting from the French manageress on our arrival was brusque and lacked the charm we had experienced at other... more

This was my first trip to Morocco so researched the place I was going to stay extensively. I picked Le Riad Monceau due to its competative price, location and consistently good reviews. I was not disappointed. The riad is located a short walk from Jemaa Al Fna and is ideally located for a stay in Marrakech. You can walk everywhere... more

We stayed here for 3 nights and we thought that the location cannot be beat; merely a few yards from Djemaa el Fna and the souks. This was our 2nd favorite of all 8 places we stayed at in Morocco. The decor inside is a lot less "traditional" than the other riads. It still contained its fair share of plaster... more

After reading all the great reviews on Riad Monceau we decided to try it out and we were not disappointed at all. Once inside the Riad it was very elegant and extremely quite and peaceful. A lovely place to return after the hustle and bustle of the streets of Marrakesh. A major factor in our enjoyment was the perfect location... more

I returned only a couple of weeks ago from my Marrakech experience tagged onto the end of a roadtrip through Spain. Although our stay at the Riad Monceau was only 5 days, I felt true sadness upon leaving. The people who work at the Riad are wonderful. Only express a need or desire and they are bound to go out... more

Traveling 30+ hours, we arrived at Le Riad Monceau (LRM) to discover that there was no record of our reservation despite confirmation in hand. We walked around the Souks while new arrangements were being made. This was not how I planned to spend my first day in Morocco. Riad owner, Isabelle Aubry, did not approach me until departure to offer... more

Regarding the lost reservation We confirm this point and apologize for the inconvenience - These guests were one of the very first users of our brand new online booking system and - unfortunately - their reservation never reached the hotel .. It was really a shame (and we really worried about that) but, as said in the review : 1/...

The Riad is conveniently located and some of the staff very pleasant. The courtyard of the Riad is lovely and a nice public space to relax or dine in. Our room was good but our shower did not drain and we had a bit of an ant problem. Noise was also an issue - doors and steps echo and there... more

Had a long weekend here to celebrate a birthday. The hotel, food and particularly the staff were absoloutely amazing. In a vibrant city like Marrakesh this place was an oasis of peace. Would definitely come back. more
