This hotel is perfectly situated right in the centre of tunis city. Everything you need is within walking distance. The rooms were spacious with nice views across the city, but they are dated and lack character. The rooms deffinately need updating. The bathroom is in deffinate need of attention, was clean but not nice. The slide door going onto the... more

I booked the hotel earlier through ebooker, then ebookers cancelled my booking without telling me. So I turned to the hotel and they told me that ebookers cancelled my booking so I was really disppointed. However, the guys in the reception were very symapathetic with me and helpfull so they gave me a nice room and even gave me a... more

The hotel is located in the centre of Tunis, and this is the only positive thing I could say.The staff, with the exception of the porters, are uninterested, surly and look fed up with the customers The breakfast consisted of dry, stale rolls and fried or boiled eggs, they ran out of plates to serve the bread on, no toast, no... more

This was originally classed as 5 star but on the outside of the building it was 4 star, when we got to the rooms it went down to a very poor 3 star. Carpets badly stained with burns etc., no hairdryer altogether very disappointing. Breakfast adequate and location excellent otherwise don't be fooled by star system., more

When we booked a renovated room in an international 4 star, we expected it to have been renovated in the last year or so, this... more

I've just returned from Tunis today with my family. We paid to stay at the El-Hana Hotel in Tunis but unfortunately, upon arrival at the Hotel we were disappointed with the standard of accomodation. The location in central tunis is very good, the staff are very courteous, poliye and friendly. However, the problem starts from the lifts. There are three... more

My husband & I stayed in this hotel as part of our Malta & Tuniisia tour package from Academic Tours last March 2006. Being our first trip to this country, we do not know what to expect apart from what we read from our guidebooks. The hotel's location was just perfect and we were close to a lot of restaurants... more

Having travelled a lot around the world and staying in hotels ranging from 2* to 5*, we're not naive enough to think cockroaches don't exist in certain places. But, it's still a shock to see not one, but two in the morning. The carpeting is old and stained. The decor is 50s/60s chrome. So, that's the bad and the ugly... more
